Medforce Recruitment are looking for Social Workers on behalf of a friendly, supportive, forward thinking Children’s disability team based in Dundalk.

This is a really exciting opportunity for a Professioally qualified Social Worker to join a supportive, dynamic, friendly multidisciplinary team.

This role offers you an opportunity to for develop significant knowledge and experience working with children with disciplines and families.

Purpose: Participating in the multidisciplinary team approach to the care, education, safety and training of persons with intellectual disability by providing a social work service, while at the same time ensuring that each person with intellectual disability is treated with the utmost respect and encouraging recognition of each person with intellectual disability as an individual with sacred and inviolable rights, and ensuring that their comforts, needs and rights are given priority.

Role: Specified Purpose contract, full-time position, working Monday- Friday, based in Dundalk.

As a Staff gade Social Worker, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team using a family centred approach to support children and families to identify and achieve their goals. Social Workers aim to empower families to live their best lives, to harness their own internal strengths and those of their extended families and communities.

The successful candidate will have the following essential requirements:

  • National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW)
  • Be Registered with the Social Workers Registrar (CORU) with active CPD Portfolio
  • Knowledge of the relevant legislation spanning the age groups of children
  • Work placement experience in the area of children disabilities desirable
  • Excellent communication, initiative, time management and teamwork skills
  • Full Clean driver’s licence
