Physiotherapist
Medforce in partnership with the HSE are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Staff Grade Physiotherapist based in North Dublin. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our clients. You will be responsible for assessing clients, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and working collaboratively with other team members. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering person-centered care. Internaional applicants are invited to apply for this postition.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry a clinical caseload appropriate to the post.
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and other team members to set goals and monitor progress.
- Communicate effectively and work in cooperation with other team members.
- Provide instruction, guidance, and support to service users, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate client records in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies.
- Provide services in various locations as per local policy/guidelines and within the allocated time.
- Participate in review meetings, case conferences, and ward rounds as required.
- Uphold quality standards of work and cooperate with quality assurance programs.
- Seek advice from relevant personnel when necessary.
- Maintain professional standards regarding confidentiality, ethics, and legislation.
- Practice within the scope of Physiotherapy practice as per CORU requirements and local guidelines.
Education & Training
- Participate in mandatory training programs.
- Stay up-to-date with Physiotherapy practices through continuing professional development activities.
- Engage in reflective practice, research, clinical audit, and self-directed learning.
- Contribute to the practice education of student therapists and participate in teaching/training/supervision of staff.
- Attend relevant practice educator courses to enhance teaching skills.
Health & Safety
- Implement policies, procedures, and safe professional practices in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Work safely and prioritize the safety of oneself and others.
- Identify and address risk management issues promptly.
- Report adverse incidents or near misses.
- Adhere to department policies regarding equipment care and safety.
- Maintain knowledge of Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards and comply with associated protocols.
- Support and actively participate in sustainable energy, water, and waste initiatives.
Administrative
- Contribute to the improvement and development of Physiotherapy services by liaising with the Senior Physiotherapist/Physiotherapy Manager.
- Gather and analyze statistics and participate in audits as directed.
- Represent the department at meetings and conferences.
- Assist in optimizing the use of IT developments within the Physiotherapy service.
- Promote a diverse and respectful workplace culture.
- Stay informed about organizational developments within the Irish Health Service.
Professional Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills, and evidence-based practice.
- Possess a solid understanding of the Physiotherapy process, its underlying theory, and its application to the role.
- Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment consistent with accepted Physiotherapy practice.
- Show commitment to continuing professional development.
- Willingness to develop relevant IT skills.

Registration Eligibility:

- Must be registered, or eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Must provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register before a contract of employment can be issued.
- Should possess the necessary knowledge, ability, and professional suitability to fulfill the duties of the position.

- Upon appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Practitioners are required to confirm their annual registration with CORU to the HSE through the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
