Physiotherapist
Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join the Primary Care Team based in the Primary Care Centre, Co. Galway.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Physiotherapist to work within a supportive primary care team, managing a varied adult musculoskeletal caseload while also providing domiciliary visits to older adults who are unable to attend the clinic due to specific clinical criteria. You will work closely alongside an experienced Senior Physiotherapist, offering excellent support, supervision, and opportunities for professional development.
The Role
As a Staff Grade Physiotherapist, you will:
- Assess and treat a varied musculoskeletal caseload, including sports injuries, fractures, joint and soft tissue conditions, and other orthopaedic presentations.
- Provide domiciliary physiotherapy visits to adults aged 65 years and over who are unable to attend the clinic and meet the service criteria.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, function, and independence.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Physiotherapist and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage your own caseload while receiving ongoing clinical guidance and support from the Senior Physiotherapist.
Please note: This role does not include developmental paediatric physiotherapy.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- CORU registration is essential.
- Previous experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy is desirable.
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car are essential, as regular domiciliary visits form part of the role.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
