Physiotherapist
We are seeking a motivated and committed Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join the Primary Care Team in Letterkenny. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a community-based, multidisciplinary setting, providing high-quality physiotherapy services to people within the Primary Care framework.
Key Responsibilities of the Physiotherapist:
- Provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention for adults presenting with a range of conditions including musculoskeletal, mobility, falls, and general rehabilitation needs.
- Manage an independent caseload in line with Primary Care pathways and service priorities.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including individual and group programmes, where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Primary Care Team including Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetics, Psychology, Public Health Nursing, and Social Work.
- Liaise effectively with GPs, acute hospitals, and community services to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HSE and CORU standards.
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in supervision, CPD, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements for the Physiotherapist:
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- CORU registration (mandatory).
- Ability to manage a clinical caseload effectively in a community or primary care setting.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in Primary Care, community, or outpatient settings.
- Experience managing musculoskeletal and/or older adult caseloads.
- Experience delivering group-based physiotherapy programmes.
