Physiotherapist
Are you a dedicated Physiotherapist with a passion for supporting older adults in their recovery journey?
Medforce are seeking an experienced and compassionate CORU registered Physiotherapist to join our client’s team in Gorey, County Wexford. Our client operated a 20-bedded hospital specialising in respite, transitional, and palliative care.
As a Physiotherapist in our client’s facility, you will play a key role in rehabilitation and intervention for stepdown patients—those transitioning from an acute hospital setting before returning home. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance mobility, independence, and overall well-being, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
This is a full time, 35-hour week spread across Monday – Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental salary in line with HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualised physiotherapy plans for patients in respite, transitional, and palliative care.
- Deliver interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, occupational therapy, and medical teams to ensure holistic care.
- Support and educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation strategies.
- Contribute to discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition back home.
Requirements:
- Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with CORU
- Experience working with older adults in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
