Physiotherapist
Our client is seeking a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join the Primary Care Team in Dungarvan, Waterford. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic community-based setting, working with a diverse caseload that includes elderly care, rehabilitation, neurology, and orthopaedics.
As a Staff Grade Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing individualised treatment plans, promoting functional independence, and improving the quality of life for patients in the community. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to holistic patient care and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities for the Physiotherapist:
- Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and treatments to adults and older persons in the community.
- Develop individualised rehabilitation programs, addressing mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Work with patients recovering from neurological conditions and orthopaedic injuries to optimise their rehabilitation journey.
- Conduct home visits and provide advice on assistive devices and adaptations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, ensuring integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives.
Essential Criteria for the Physiotherapist:
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
- CORU registration (or eligibility for registration)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience in elderly care, rehabilitation, neurology, or orthopaedics
- Knowledge of falls prevention strategies and mobility assessments
- Experience in delivering group-based exercise programs
