Staff Grade Physiotherapist
The Staff Grade Physiotherapist will provide high-quality physiotherapy services as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team, supporting the rehabilitation and physical well-being of individuals in the local community. The role involves delivering assessments, treatments, and prevention strategies for a range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic conditions. I would accept Staff Grade or Senior for this position.
Key Responsibilities of Physiotherapist
Clinical Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients referred by GPs, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Provide education and advice to patients and caregivers on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and self-management strategies.
- Utilize appropriate manual therapy, exercise therapy, and other modalities to manage a wide range of conditions.
- Participate in health promotion activities, including workshops or group sessions targeting specific populations (e.g., falls prevention, back pain management).
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Refer patients to secondary care or other services when appropriate.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the primary care team, including GPs, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to deliver holistic care.
- Attend regular team meetings and case discussions to ensure integrated care delivery.
- Provide guidance or mentoring to junior physiotherapists, assistants, or students as needed.
Administrative & Professional Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in service audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects as directed.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, clinical governance, and data protection standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and maintain registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council).
