Pharmacist
Medforce are delighted to have partnered with one of the most prestigious mental health facilities in Dublin North, to recruit a Pharmacist.
Location: North Central Dublin
Contract: 0.7 WTE, 24.5 hours per week for a 9-12 month contract
Our client partners with the HSE to provide psychiatric care to the population of Dublin North Central. Our client’s pharmacy department is staffed with a team of highly skilled and dependable pharmacists.
Overview of the role: To provide pharmacy services to all areas of the facility including dispensary, ward-based clinical services and medicines information services, outpatient services and clinic and the provision of a pharmaceutical service to patients consistent with the mission and ethos of the Pharmacy Department and the facility.
Duties to include:
- Prioritize patient care, ensuring flexibility and enthusiasm in all tasks.
- Ensure pharmaceutical services meet patient and staff needs, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
- Advise healthcare staff on best practices in medicines management.
- Provide necessary reports for the CEO, Management, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare staff to ensure safe and efficient use of medications.
- Develop and implement evidence-based medicines management policies with medical, nursing, and management teams.
- Fulfill FMD requirements as outlined by the Irish Medicines Verification Organisation (IMVO).
- Participate in and chair (when needed) relevant committee meetings.
- Oversee the safe, economical, and legal purchase, storage, and supply of medicines.
Essential Criteria:
I. Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Socieity of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered
and
II. Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (Including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
