Medforce Recruitment are recruiting an outstanding Person in Charge on behalf of a designated residential service in Mount Mellick.
At Medforce Recruitment we are proud to have partnered with an Inspiring Person centred service who support people with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addictions.
The successful candidate will manage a Service with one male service user with complex needs. Our client aims to maximise and reduce long term dependency through a range of therapeutic interventions and community-based support programmes.

They have been providing bespoke support packages for people with a broad spectrum of disability and mental health needs since 2007. Enabling all those who choose supported independence over traditional models of care the opportunity to live and shape their own lives, regardless of levels of support required. In the Designated Centre, they aim to replicate the values of autonomy, choice, and agency within the more prescribed environment of a HIQA Registered home.
Role: A Permanent, fulltime position, Monday – Friday. Salary dependants on experience, the range is €57,000-€60,000 per annum.

Qualifications and Training
- A Social Care Degree at level 7/8
- A relevant Health or Social Care Management Qualification
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
- Experience bridging a range of settings or client groups, including Intellectual Disability, Autism, ABI, physical disability, or mental health; residential settings or community supports.
- In depth understanding of all relevant legislation.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An ability to demonstrate creative problem solving and show flexibility and creativity; able to modify approach and come up with innovative solutions to achieve objective
- Influencing skills, and a track record of mentoring and bringing on colleagues
- Positive attitude and varied life experience
- Enthusiasm, dynamism and creativity with resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and willing to work flexible hours
- Full driving licence
