Person in Charge
Our client is committed to providing person-centred, high-quality services to adults with disabilities, promoting independence, dignity, and community integration. They are currently recruiting a Person in Charge (PIC) to oversee the day-to-day management of designated residential services in Mayo and ensure compliance with HIQA standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities of the Person in Charge:
- Lead and manage the delivery of high-quality care and support services to residents
- Ensure compliance with all HIQA regulations and standards
- Provide supervision and support to a team of social care staff
- Promote a person-centred, inclusive, and rights-based approach to care
- Oversee administrative duties including rosters, incident management, and reporting
- Maintain positive working relationships with families, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders
- Participate in audits, inspections, and service planning initiatives
Essential Requirements for the Person in Charge:
- Recognised qualification in Social Care and CORU registration
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within disability services or similar sector
- A Level 6 (or higher) qualification in Management or equivalent
- A full clean manual Irish driving licence
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Thorough understanding of HIQA regulations, person-centred planning, and safeguarding practices
