Our client who specialises in acute services in Navan, Meath is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join their friendly and supportive Occupational Therapy team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic acute hospital setting.
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of qualified Occupational Therapists to support the delivery of patient-centred rehabilitation and care.
Key Duties of the Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Assist in the delivery of therapy sessions and activity programmes
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Support patients with mobility, activities of daily living, and therapeutic tasks
- Document observations and patient progress for the OT team
- Contribute to the smooth running of the OT service through administrative and clinical support
Requirements for the Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Relevant QQI/FETAC qualification (e.g., Health Service Skills Level 5) or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or therapy support setting is desirable
- A kind, patient-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about helping others regain independence
