Children’s Disabilities – Occupational Therapist – County Meath
Medforce in partnership with a Childrens Disability Service in Co. Meath are seeking Staff & Senior Grade Occupational Therapists.
Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client’s well-established team serving children and families across County Meath.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities to determine their unique needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance childrens physical, cognitive, and sensory skills.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support.
- Utilize creative and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help children achieve their developmental goals.
- Offer guidance and training to families on home-based therapy exercises and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress reports.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid CORU Registration.
- For Senior post: 3+ years of post graduate experience is required
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with children and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a child-centered approach to therapy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and guidelines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children.
