Medforce Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a friendly, supportive Elderly care team, within a mental health hospital in north Dublin.
A suitable candidate for the role will ideally have previous experience in Alzheimers/Dementia/ a similar role and love what they do. This individual is suited to someone who is a good listener, a great communicator and has a natural interest in problem-solving.
You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with good clinical knowledge within the elderly care sector and ideally in a Rehabilitation unit.
Details
The Occupational Therapy team currently consists of an Occupational Therapy Manager, Senior and Staff Grade Occupational Therapists working in the team. There will be support from a busy Occupational Therapy team with a wide range of experience and knowledge across general adult mental health services.
There will be opportunities and support for Continuing Professional Development and Career progression.
Salary range €59,478- €70,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Requirements
- Be registered or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
- Min 2 years’ experience working woth elderly care/ Alzheimers/mental health.
- Proven ability of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate evidence of having applied / used appropriate assessment tools and treatments and a knowledge of the implications of outcomes to service users.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead on planning and managing the delivery of an optimum service in an effective and resourceful manner
- Must have a creative and innovative approach to assisting residents with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational skills.
