Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Children’s Disability Network Facility)
Medforce in partnership with Children’s Disability Network Facilities in Co. Meath & Co. Louth are seeking Assistant, Staff & Senior Grade Occupational therapist’s. Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities? We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Children’s Disability Network Facility, serving children and families across County Meath or County Louth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities to determine their unique needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance children’s physical, cognitive, and sensory skills.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support.
- Utilize creative and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help children achieve their developmental goals.
- Offer guidance and training to families on home-based therapy exercises and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress reports.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid CORU Registration.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with children and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a child-centered approach to therapy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and guidelines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children.
