Job Description:
Our Primary Care Donegal Network Client in partnership with Medfore are seeking dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist’s looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in Donegal, Ireland. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team. Under the Community Healthcare Network model, staff members are also part of the wider team including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, dieticians, podiatry, and social work,who meet four times per year to develop as a team and progress common goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify clients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve clients’ independence and quality of life.
- Provide rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders.
- Offer support and guidance to clients and their families, educating them on adaptive techniques and equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Stay current with best practices and new developments in occupational therapy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU Registration.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and guidelines.
