Occupational Therapist-
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist with CORU registration to join our team and work with children with disabilities. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s motor, sensory, cognitive, and self-care abilities to determine their therapy needs.
- Collaborate with the child, their family, and the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and family goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions that focus on activities of daily living, fine motor skills, sensory integration, and environmental adaptations.
- Monitor and evaluate children’s progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Educate and train parents, caregivers, and teachers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support the child’s progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in pediatric Occupational Therapy and actively participate in professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Current CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- A recognized Occupational Therapist qualification.
- At least 6 months of post-qualification clinical experience working with children with disabilities.
- Excellent communication, initiative, and time management skills.
- Flexibility and teamwork skills are key to this role.
- Full driver’s license and access to a car.
- Solid understanding of pediatric Occupational Therapy principles, assessments, and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple caseloads.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children with disabilities.
Role: Contract full-time contract working 35 hours, Monday-Friday.
Salary: €40,325-€58,483 (HSE PayScale) + 27 days annual leave + 10 bank holidays
