Occupational Therapist
We are currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join the team at a Hospital in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist mental health setting, supporting adults with a range of psychiatric and rehabilitation needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions within a mental health setting
- Support service users in developing skills for daily living, independence, and community reintegration
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and social work
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual interventions
- Contribute to care planning and goal setting with a recovery-focused approach
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration (or eligibility)
- Experience working in mental health or a related setting desirable
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in adult mental health, rehabilitation, or inpatient settings
- Interest in group work and recovery-oriented practice
- Previous experience within a similar healthcare setting
