Occupational Therapist
Medforce are currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join the Primary Care Team in Clondalkin. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with post-qualification experience working with adults who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will work as part of a Primary Care team delivering services to an adult population, supporting individuals to maximise independence, function and quality of life within their community.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to adult clients within a primary care setting.
- Deliver person-centred care plans aimed at improving independence in daily living activities.
- Conduct functional assessments including mobility, home environment and activities of daily living.
- Recommend and facilitate the provision of assistive equipment and home adaptations where required.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, nurses, social workers and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to professional and organisational standards.
Essential Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to register.
- Previous experience working with an adult caseload is essential.
- Candidates must have post-qualification experience – new graduates will not be considered for this role.
- Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable.
