Occupational Therapist
We are currently recruiting Staff Grade and Senior Occupational Therapists to join the multidisciplinary team based in a Health Centre with the East Galway & South Roscommon Network. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive primary care setting, delivering high-quality, person-centred services to adults in the community.
The Role
The successful candidates will work as part of a dynamic Primary Care team, providing Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation to service users with a range of physical, functional, and/or psychosocial needs.
Senior roles will also include clinical leadership, supervision, and service development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:

Deliver comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions

Develop and implement individualised, goal-oriented treatment plans

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards

Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives

Senior OT only: Provide supervision, support, and clinical guidance to junior staff and students
Essential Criteria – Staff Grade

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy

Registration with CORU
-
Experience working as an Occupational Therapist (primary care experience desirable)

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Full clean driving licence and access to a car
Essential Criteria – Senior Grade

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy

Registration with CORU
-
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience

Demonstrated experience in a primary care or community setting

Experience in supervision, leadership, or service development
-
Full clean driving licence and access to a car
