Occupational Therapist
Medforce Healthcare is seeking a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Mental Health In-Patient Services team based in Mullingar. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic mental health service and make a meaningful difference in the lives of service users.
The Role
As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting adults with mental health difficulties in an in-patient setting. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care that promotes recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Support service users in developing functional, social, and vocational skills to aid recovery.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
- Contribute to care planning, risk management, and discharge planning.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Experience in mental health services (placement or professional) is desirable but not essential.
