We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Donegal. This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of a supportive, interdisciplinary team delivering services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
Paediatric experience is essential for this role, as you will be working closely with children and their families to support participation in everyday activities, both at home and in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Conduct functional assessments and deliver individualised, goal-based interventions
- Support children’s development in areas such as fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Collaborate closely with families, schools, and other professionals
- Contribute to service planning and team development initiatives
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in paediatric occupational therapy (essential)
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and team-working skills
- A child- and family-centred approach to service delivery
Desirable:
- Experience working in a CDNT or similar interdisciplinary team
- Training in sensory integration, equipment prescription, or developmental assessments
