We are currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Tullamore. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, family-centred services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
Role Overview:
As part of the CDNT, you will deliver assessment and intervention services to support children’s participation in everyday activities. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and other team members to promote the child’s development, independence, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Complete functional assessments and deliver individual and group interventions
- Provide support in areas such as sensory processing, motor development, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with families and other professionals in setting meaningful, goal-based interventions
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to team planning and service development
Essential Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children, ideally in disability or community settings
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
- Commitment to delivering evidence-based, child- and family-focused care
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a CDNT or multidisciplinary team
- Training in sensory integration, equipment provision, or developmental assessments
