Medforce are looking for an Occupational Therapist for a Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) provide interdisciplinary support for children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs associated with disability.
This role will be part of a vibrant CDNT covering South Louth and Bettystown, working with families to enable participation, independence, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist
- Assess and manage children presenting with a range of developmental delays and disabilities, including physical, sensory, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Develop and deliver individualised and group-based occupational therapy interventions in line with best practice.
- Work collaboratively with families using a family-centred, goal-oriented approach.
- Contribute actively to interdisciplinary team planning, assessments, and service delivery.
- Liaise with schools, preschools, and other relevant agencies to support children in their natural environments.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and clinical records in line with HSE standards.
- Participate in CPD, clinical supervision, peer support, and service development initiatives.
Requirements of Occupational Therapist
- Hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by CORU.
- Be registered (or eligible for registration) with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge and reasoning appropriate to working with children with complex needs.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Full, clean driving licence and access to own transport (essential for community-based work).
