Occupational Therapist
My client a CDNT unit based in Portlaoise are looking for a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist who will work as part of a progressive and dynamic interdisciplinary team providing quality, evidence-based, family-centred occupational therapy services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from a disability.
Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist
- Provide assessment, intervention, and review for children and young people in accordance with the national Progressing Disability Services (PDS) framework.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, educators, and other team members to set meaningful and functional goals.
- Deliver services in a range of settings, including clinics, schools, homes, and community locations.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and reports in line with GDPR and professional standards.
- Participate in team planning, service evaluation, clinical supervision, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of group-based interventions and parent training programmes.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to student training, if applicable.
Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification approved by CORU.
- Proven ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Access to own transport and full clean driving licence.
