Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, helping children with disabilities reach their full potential.
About the Role:
As part of the CDNT, you will play a vital role in assessing and delivering evidence-based interventions to support children’s development and independence. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to create individualised therapy plans that enhance participation in everyday activities.
Key Responsibilities for the Occupational Therapist:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for children with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Provide education, support, and practical strategies to families and caregivers to promote progress at home and in school settings.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service planning and development.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and service delivery.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children with disabilities (desirable but not essential).
- A strong interest in child development, sensory processing, and assistive technology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for family-centred, evidence-based practice.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car (desirable but not essential).
