Occupational Therapist

Medforce are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a friendly, dynamic, supportive Children’s Disability network team in Portlaoise.
Contract: This is a 6-month contract (with a view to extend), full time hours Monday – Friday, 35 hour working week plus excellent benefits.
Main duties of the job:
To provide occupational therapy services to children in a modern, hard working children’s disability service. The Occupational Therapist will be involved in assessment and intervention, providing family support, leadership and supervision.
Requirements:
- A BSc in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent CORU registered Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Must have proven experience working with children.
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with children and young people.
- Have enthusiasm, imagination and initiative.
- Full Clean Driving License with use of a car

- Is excited about working with a wide range of children: children with developmental co-ordination difficulties, sensory and behavioural difficulties, autism and children with severe physical and complex needs in both early years and of school age.
