Medforce are delighted to have partnered with a highly renowned client who is currently expanding their children’s disability service team in the South Louth/Meath catchment area.
Working with children who have complex needs and their families can be challenging but it is an incredible way to build your occupational therapy career, knowing that you have the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team of professionals. This particcular service ensures work-life balance and a manageable caseload is prioritised.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and educators.
- Support families by providing education and resources to help them understand and manage their child’s needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to ensure coordinated care.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration
- Full clean driver’s license with access to own vehicle
- Experience working within a paediatric setting preferred
- Valid visa and right to work in Ireland is essential as sponsorship is not offered for this role.
