Occupational Therapist

Medforce Recruitment are looking for Compassionate, Forward-thinking Occupational Therapist’s with a deep passion for working with children with disabilities.
This role is based in a children’s disabilities team in Westmeath.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team that provide services to adults with complex needs.
These exciting roles demands excellent team working, and communication skills and an innovative and committed approach to providing high quality patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a Diploma/Degree/Masters in Occupational Therapy from a 3rd level institution offering a programme of study accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists and/or International Qualifications, which have been recognised/validated by CORU.
- Experience and interest in sensory integration.
- Fully registered (or registration in process) with CORU.
- Access to a car and a full, clean driving licence.
- Availability to travel to all service locations as required.
- Experience of inter- or multidisciplinary work.
- Good communication (oral and written) and good interpersonal skills.
- Experience of programme development, implementation and evaluation.
- Ability to evaluate service needs and prioritise accordingly.
- Experience in developing and presenting training for other professionals/carers.
- Experience of working with children with disabilities and their families, especially the following: Autism, Learning Disability, Physical and Sensory
