Locum Occupational Therapist
Medforce are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Temporary Occupational Therapist to join our team in Ireland. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapeutic interventions to individuals with physical, mental, and developmental challenges to enhance their ability to engage in daily activities and improve their overall quality of life. We can offer full time and part time positions in the Public or Private sector across Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate individuals’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and limitations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and activities to improve individuals’ functional abilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to enhance individuals’ independence and safety.
- Document treatment progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports.
- Stay updated with current research, trends, and best practices in occupational therapy.
Application Criteria:
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification which has been validated by the Minister of Health and Children.
- CORU registration.
- Possess a minimum three years satisfactory post qualification acute hospital experience.
- Ability to use own initiative, work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of flexibility and problem solving skills to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage a high volume workload.
