Locum Cardiac Physiologist
Location: Tullamore
Contract: Locum contract covering November & December 2024 with possiblity for extension into 2025.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible hours.
Medforce are delighted to announce we are recruiting a Cardiac Physiologist to join a busy department in a modern hospital in the midlands of Ireland.
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in Echocardiography to play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac conditions.
The facility is highly renowned for it’s experienced team of professionals, commitment to quality care and cutting-edge equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TOE) to a high clinical standard.
- Independently report on echocardiography findings, providing accurate and comprehensive diagnostic reports.
- Work closely with cardiologists, contributing to patient management and treatment planning.
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff and participate in peer-review processes.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care, maintaining professionalism and compassion at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or
- Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) or
- Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) or
- Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology
- Proven experience in echocardiography, with a strong track record of independent reporting.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing cardiac ultrasound images.
- Registration with IICMP
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with advanced echocardiography techniques, such as strain imaging or 3D echocardiography.
- Previous experience in a clinical leadership role.
