Director of Nursing
Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is recruiting Director of Nursing (DON) position for an established and renowned group of Nursing Homes in Co. Meath. Its a brand – new purpose – built residence with the room of 96 residents, along with their three – storey residence offers airy, modern and spacious accommodation and a host of living and activity spaces, surrounding a pleasant, landscaped courtyard garden.
Requirements
· Minimum 3 Years of experience as registered nurse in the last 6 years in care of the older person.
· Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
· Post registration in management qualification (QQI Level 6 minimum).
· Post Graduate diploma in Gerontology is desirable.
· Working knowledge of HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines.
· Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills.
· Sound decision making ability and results driven.
· To provide support, advice, and guidance to the Home by way of an on-call arrangement.
· To co-manage and support all departments including nursing, household, maintenance, and catering staff.
· Good appreciation of finance issues.
· Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative.
· Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
