Our client a leading provider of specialist mental health services, is seeking a Senior Dietitian to join their multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting adults with neuropsychiatric conditions, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s Disease, schizophrenia, and mood disorders.
About the Role:
As a Senior Dietitian, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nutritional care to adults in long-term mental health care. You will assess complex cases, develop tailored dietary interventions, and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to enhance patients’ overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Dietitian:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans.
- Manage enteral feeding regimens and provide expert advice on therapeutic diets.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote integrated, person-centred care.
- Lead service development initiatives, audits, and quality improvement projects.
- Provide specialist guidance to dietetic colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
Essential Requirements of the Senior Dietitian:
- CORU registration as a Dietitian.
- Minimum 1.5 years’ post-qualification experience in neurodisability and mental health dietetics.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, service development, and professional learning.
