Medforce in partnership with a childrens disability unit in Co Offaly are seeking a Staff Grade Dietitian to join their multidisciplinary team. We will also consider a Senior Dietitian.
We are currently seeking Dietitianto play a pivotal role in our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, treatment, and educational support, ensuring evidence-based nutritional care that is tailored to the needs of children with disabilities, with the aim of promoting optimal well-being and outcomes.
- Maintaining professional standards in alignment with the guidelines set forth by CORU (https://coru.ie/files-recognition/standards-of-proficiency-for-dietitians.pdf).
- Prioritizing and managing a caseload of clients based on service requirements.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized care plans derived from nutritional assessments of service users.
- Providing guidance and closely collaborating with families and caregivers in the practical aspects of the agreed care plan.
- Coordinating with catering staff to ensure the provision of therapeutic diets when necessary.
- Engaging with the multidisciplinary team and healthcare colleagues in various services and settings as appropriate.
- Participating in the development and evaluation of nutrition education resources.
- Engaging in professional and clinical supervision, and embracing reflective practice.
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the well-being of yourself and others.
- Maintaining accurate records in accordance with organizational, departmental, and professional standards.
- Upholding professional standards regarding patient and data confidentiality, including compliance with FOI and GDPR regulations
