Medforce are delighted to have partnered with a well-established and highly renowned children’s disability service in Co. Meath to find a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to children with a range of disabilities, helping them manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify the cognitive and emotional needs of children with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized CBT treatment plans to address specific issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioural problems, and adjustment difficulties.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of each child.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and doctors, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Educate and support families on CBT techniques and strategies to continue therapy at home.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field, with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- Professional accreditation with a recognized body (e.g., BABCP, IACP, PSI).
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
