Our client is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist to join the Radiotherapy Department at their Hospital based in Galway. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled radiation therapist to lead and deliver advanced radiotherapy services in a leading healthcare setting.

- Patient Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centred radiotherapy.
- Clinical Service: Deliver safe, efficient treatment and maintain equipment.
- Professional Development: Enhance skills, contribute to policies, and mentor staff.
- Communication & Leadership: Collaborate with teams, support training, and optimise resources.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and risk management policies.

Requirements:

Essential Criteria:
- Registration: Must be registered (or eligible) on the Radiation Therapists Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by CORU.
- Experience: Minimum of six years post-qualification experience in Radiation Therapy.
- Education: At least 10 postgraduate ECTS credits (or equivalent) in the specialty, as recognised by the IIRRT.
- Competence: Strong clinical, managerial, and leadership skills to effectively discharge duties.
- Annual Registration: Must maintain and confirm annual CORU registration with the HSE.
- Health & Character: Must be fully competent, capable, and of good character.
Portfolio Requirement:
Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating:- Relevant education, training, and certifications.
- CPD activities, research, and professional contributions.
Additional Requirements:
- Participation in out-of-hours and on-call duties.
- Strong leadership, clinical expertise, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to high-quality patient care, continuous learning, and IT proficiency.
- Effective teamwork, resilience, and openness to change.
