This is a senior leadership role supporting the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care and ensuring strong clinical governance, compliance, and service development.
Key Responsibilities

Provide senior clinical leadership and oversight of nursing services

Support clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
-
Lead, support, and develop nursing teams, including workforce planning and rostering
-
Ensure compliance with Mental Health Commission standards and relevant legislation
-
Contribute to service development, innovation, and strategic planning
-
Deputise for the Director of Nursing as required
Essential Requirements
-
Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) on the NMBI live register
-
Minimum 7 years post-registration experience, including senior management experience in adult mental health services

Strong knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements and governance

Proven leadership, communication, and change management skills

Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
