About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to lead and manage a residential disability service in Galway. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred service while maintaining compliance with organisational policies, HIQA regulations, and the Health Act 2007.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily management and operation of the designated centre.

Promote a safe, homely, and person-centred environment.

Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and relevant legislation.

Manage staffing, budgets, rosters, and service resources.

Lead and support staff development, training, and performance management.

Develop and implement person-centred support plans.

Promote effective safeguarding, risk management, and health and safety practices.

Maintain accurate records and build positive relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ management/supervisory experience in health or social care.

Level 7 (or higher) QQI qualification in Nursing, Social Care, Health Science, or related discipline.

Current NMBI registration.

Relevant management qualification.

Experience managing a residential service and meeting regulatory requirements.

Experience in budget management, staff supervision, and roster planning.

Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and excellent leadership skills.
-
Full, clean driving licence.
