Occupational Therapist
We are currently recruiting an Experienced Staff Grade or Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric Primary Care Occupational Therapy Team covering Network 4 and Network 5 services in South Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary primary care setting, providing intervention and support to children and families within the community.
The successful candidate will manage a varied paediatric caseload and work closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary colleagues to support children in reaching their developmental and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children with a range of developmental and complex needs
- Support children in areas including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, school participation, and functional independence
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary team members including SLT, Physiotherapy, Psychology, and Social Work
- Deliver parent education, home programmes, and school-based recommendations where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
- Participate in team meetings, service development, and clinical supervision
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration
- For Senior Grade: minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
- Paediatric experience essential
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
- Experience within primary care or disability services
- Experience with sensory integration, ASD, developmental coordination disorder, and complex needs
- Access to own transport and full driver’s licence
