Professionally Qualified Social Worker
We are currently recruiting a Professionally Qualified Social Worker (PQSW) to join a Mental Health Team based in Churchtown, Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering essential services to adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities of the Professionally Qualified Social Worker:
- Carry out comprehensive psychosocial assessments with service users
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to individuals with mental health needs
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and allied health professionals
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Support service users in accessing appropriate community supports and services
- Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies
- Participate in safeguarding and risk management processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
Requirements for the Professionally Qualified Social Worker:
- Degree in Social Work
- CORU registration (or eligibility)
- Experience working within mental health services desirable
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full driver’s licence and access to own transport
Desirable
- Experience within community mental health teams
- Knowledge of relevant mental health legislation and policies
- Experience working with crisis intervention and risk assessment
