Senior Physiotherapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist to join the Primary Care team in Co. Clare. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy services to adults within a community-based setting, working as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team.
This role offers the chance to develop advanced clinical skills, contribute to service development, and support junior staff within a supportive HSE environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Physiotherapist:
- Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and intervention for adults in a Primary Care setting
- Manage a varied caseload in line with HSE policies, clinical guidelines, and best practice
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Primary Care team
- Provide clinical supervision, support, and mentoring to staff grade physiotherapists and students as required
- Contribute to service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in governance processes
Essential Criteria for the Senior Physiotherapist:
- CORU registration as a Physiotherapist
- Minimum of three years post-qualification clinical experience
- Experience working with adults in a community, primary care, or relevant clinical setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport (desirable, depending on service needs)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Primary Care or community-based services
- Experience supervising staff or students
- Postgraduate training relevant to community or primary care physiotherapy
