Senior Occupational Therapist – Adults
We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to provide a high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy service to adults attending Primary Care, supporting independence, safety, and participation in daily living activities within the community. This role can be based in either Mountbellew PC or Ballinasloe Health Centre, I would also consider an experienced Staff Grade.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an adult Primary Care caseload
- Carry out functional, cognitive, and environmental assessments
- Plan, implement, and review appropriate OT interventions
- Recommend equipment, aids, and environmental adaptations
- Work collaboratively within the Primary Care multidisciplinary team
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, and relevant services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Adhere to CORU standards, HSE policies, and local procedures
- Provide clinical support and guidance to junior staff
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement
Essential Criteria
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with adult Primary Care or community caseloads
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full driving licence and access to own transport
