Speech and Language Therapist
Medforce are working with the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, who are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their dynamic, interdisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment delivering high-quality services to children and young people aged 0–18 with complex needs.
About the Role
As a key member of the CDNT, you will provide assessment, intervention and family-centred support to children with a range of developmental needs. You will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary framework alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Social Workers and other team members.
Both Staff Grade and Senior Grade applicants are welcome to apply, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
• Provide speech, language and communication assessments and evidence-based interventions
• Work in partnership with families, carers and other professionals to support meaningful outcomes
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning, goal setting and service delivery
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with CORU and HSE standards
• Contribute to team meetings, case discussions and service improvement initiatives
• Manage a varied caseload, prioritising needs and ensuring timely service delivery
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
• CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Experience working with children or within disability services (desirable for Staff Grade, essential for Senior Grade)
• Strong clinical, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• A full driving licence and access to a car is an advantage
