Occupational Therapist
Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is delighted to partner with Primary Care Adult Services in Laois/Offaly to recruit both Staff Grade and Senior Occupational Therapists. These are excellent opportunities to join a supportive, progressive Primary Care team delivering high-quality, community-based services to adults across the region.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist (Both Roles):
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to adults with a range of physical, functional, and cognitive needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that promote independence and functional ability.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities – Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance within the Occupational Therapy team.
- Offer supervision and support to Staff Grade OTs and students.
- Contribute to complex case management and advanced clinical decision-making.
Requirements – Staff Grade Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with adults in a community, primary care, or hospital setting is desirable.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Full driving licence and access to a car (for community visits if required).
Requirements – Senior Grade Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with relevant clinical experience in adult services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and work autonomously.
- Experience supervising junior staff or students is an advantage.
