Occupational Therapist
Our clientis expanding its dedicated Stroke Rehabilitation Team and is seeking enthusiastic Staff Grade and Senior Grade Occupational Therapists. Join a progressive, patient‑centred service delivering multidisciplinary stroke care from acute admission through early supported discharge and outpatient follow‑up.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both Staff Grade and Senior Grade Occupational Therapists to work in a supportive clinical environment delivering high-quality care to patients across a range of settings including acute medicine, rehabilitation, and older persons’ services.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Assessment and intervention planning for patients with physical, cognitive, and functional needs
- Providing evidence-based occupational therapy in areas such as rehabilitation, discharge planning, and functional independence
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, nursing, medical staff, and social workers
- For Senior OTs: Clinical supervision and support to junior team members, participation in service development and audit activities
Essential Criteria for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- For Senior Grade: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with relevant experience in acute, rehab, or older persons’ services
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in acute or inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Training in manual handling, seating & postural management, or cognitive rehabilitation
- Supervision of students or junior staff (for senior applicants)
