Medforce Recruitment is proud to partner with a dynamic Acute Mental Health Service to recruit an Occupational Therapist. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges, helping them regain function, confidence, and independence during crisis and recovery.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Provide assessment and intervention focused on functional ability, daily living skills, and meaningful activity for individuals in an acute mental health setting
- Contribute to care planning and recovery-focused interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions that promote engagement, self-management, and social inclusion
- Work collaboratively with service users, families, nursing, medical, psychology, and social work colleagues
- Support discharge planning and community reintegration
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Experience in mental health or acute clinical settings desirable
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, responsive environment
- Full driving licence may be required depending on service needs
