My client is a provider of services dedicated to providing a range of assessments and therapeutic options for children and families, including child psychology, occupational therapy, autism spectrum assessments and therapy, as well as general clinical assessments. They have opened a new Therapy Clinic and as result are looking for a Staff Grade Psychologist in North Dublin.
This is a hybrid role and will involve both working from home and the option of either a part time or full-time working week.
The Staff Grade Psychologist will provide a high-quality psychological assessments and interventions for children, adolescents, and/or adults presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions, with a particular focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The role includes diagnostic assessments, multidisciplinary collaboration, family support, and clinical reporting in line with best-practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities of Staff Grade Psychologist
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using gold-standard tools (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R, Conners, WISC, etc.)
- Deliver neurodevelopmental diagnostic evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Interpret psychometric data and clinical findings to formulate diagnoses and recommendations
- Write detailed psychological reports to a high professional standard, suitable for families, referrers, and other stakeholders
- Provide psychoeducation, feedback sessions, and guidance to clients and families
- Liaise with schools, GPs, allied health professionals, and support services where appropriate
- Contribute to service development, audit, and evaluation of clinical pathways
- Engage in regular supervision and continuing professional development (CPD)
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records in line with GDPR and professional guidelines
Requirements of Staff Grade Psychologist
- A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology
- Qualifications must be validated by the Department of Health
- Demonstrated experience conducting Autism and ADHD assessments using validated tools
- Strong report writing, assessment, and communication skills
- Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming approaches and current evidence-based practices
