Medforce Recruitment is proud to partner with a dynamic Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Carlow to recruit Staff and Senior Occupational Therapists. These are exciting and rewarding opportunities to work as part of a supportive, family-centred, and multidisciplinary team providing essential therapy services to children with complex needs and developmental delays.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
As part of the CDNT, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions to children aged 0–18 with physical, sensory, and/or intellectual disabilities
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and the MDT to provide holistic, goal-focused care
- Work across home, clinic, preschool, and school settings
- Participate in team planning, case discussions, and family forums
- Senior OT: Provide clinical supervision to junior staff, support service development, and lead on specific clinical areas
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Staff Grade: Suitable for early-career therapists or those with experience in paediatrics/disability
- Senior Grade: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including experience in paediatrics or disability services
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills
- A full driver’s licence and access to transport is beneficial for community visits
