Senior Occupational Therapist
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join the HSE Midlands team in Offaly, providing essential OT services to elderly clients in a community and residential care setting. This role offers the opportunity to support older adults in maximizing their independence and quality of life through individualised, evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for elderly clients.
- Support individuals in maintaining mobility, function, and independence in their daily activities.
- Provide equipment recommendations, seating, and environmental adaptations to promote safety and accessibility.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, nurses, and social workers.
- Offer carer and family education, ensuring continuity of care in home and residential settings.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to ongoing service development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and CORU registration.
- Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, ideally working with older adults.
- Strong knowledge of frailty, dementia care, falls prevention, and rehabilitation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
