Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is proud to partner with a dedicated Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Westmeath to recruit Staff and Senior Speech and Language Therapists. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multidisciplinary, family-centred team delivering essential supports to children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
As a member of the CDNT, you will:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions
- Support children with a variety of communication and feeding difficulties
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure holistic, child- and family-centred care
- Participate in service planning, team meetings, and clinical governance activities
Senior Speech and Language Therapist: Take on additional responsibilities including clinical leadership, support and mentoring of junior colleagues, and contributing to service development
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Staff Grade: Open to both new graduates and therapists with paediatric experience
- Senior Grade: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (ideally in paediatrics or disability services)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills
- Full driver’s licence and access to transport for community visits
