Medforce Recruitment is delighted to partner with a progressive Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Offaly to recruit a part-time Senior Occupational Therapist. This is a school-based role, providing essential support to children with complex developmental needs in a Special School setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working in paediatrics and committed to delivering meaningful, child-centred care in an educational environment.
About the Role:
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention to children in a Special School environment.
- Support children with sensory, motor, and functional challenges that impact daily school life.
- Collaborate with teachers, SNAs, families, and the wider MDT to promote optimal participation in school and home routines.
- Contribute to care planning, documentation, and multidisciplinary case reviews.
- Support junior team members, students, and assist with service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist (essential)
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in paediatrics or disability services
- Experience working with children with complex needs, sensory processing differences, and functional difficulties
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamworking skills
- Experience working in educational or community-based settings is desirable
